And the Eastern Busway is mostly a part-time busway, with the rest not being used to its potential either.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="st"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="st"&gt;According to a &lt;a href="http://railbotforum.org/mbs/index.php?topic=6927.0"&gt;post&lt;/a&gt; on &lt;a href="http://backontrack.org/"&gt;Rail Back on Track&lt;/a&gt;'s forum, by a contributor who has used Madrid's commuter rail system&lt;/span&gt;, surface trains in the Spanish capital run at turn-up-and-go frequencies, over distances comparable to Brisbane lines that only see a train every half hour in either direction. This on a system with similar constraints in infrastructure to its Brisbane counterpart!
